OUR STORY

With a background in residential and commercial interiors as well as product design both locally and internationally and showcased collections in spaces such as Salone Del Mobile, Tosin has always been inspired by meaningful design created by the partnership between technology and the designer, an ethos which led to the creation of Olu.T Designs - a contemporary homewares brand striving to create timeless and sustainably made pieces. Inspired by the unique blend of her African heritage and British upbringing, she harnesses this complementary connection to produce multifunctional homewares (a trait that is synonymous within Nigerian homes) and styling pieces alongside her passion for minimal colour palettes and balanced designs.

Established in 2023, Olu.T Designs is a woman-owned end to end design-led brand based in Bristol, specialising in interior design and contemporary homewares for use throughout the home for the design lover. The studio produces primarily small-batch items with a heritage twist, primarily small batch items via slipcasting (via in-studio CAD and 3D printing) and handbuilding, firing with earthenware and mid-fire stoneware, to produce ceramics crafted for multifunctional use. I take inspiration from my own African heritage with this aspect of my brand, as well as my use of locally sourced materials and ingredients. Most pieces follow a monochrome 'splatter' aesthetic with hand splattered designs with product collections including: scented taper candles made from soy wax that use natural pigments for scents including activated charcoal powder, matcha, turmeric. Our product collection also features: monochrome jesmonite pieces, three-wick candles, textile/ceramic wall hangings and table runners.

We stock online (via our own shop and wholesale platforms) and offline in Bristol and London. We have traded in spaces including: John Lewis, Battersea Power Station, Salad Days London, Solo Craft Fair and Curated Makers and Top Drawer London.
